The first away match in this season did not brought any serious problems to the guests from Togliatti. By analogy like in the previous championship of Russia, "Lada" created quite a significant difference in the score in the first minutes of the match (again, just like in the previous year - 5:1). Until the 25th minute of the match this difference was steadily strengthened (17:7), and only then “Lada” allowed to its opponent to establish counter play.
An excuse for giving up the fight for the medals is the fact that in the off-season, “Luch” have changed almost half of the squad, including among others, two players from Togliattian Handball School - Alla Kotova and Ekaterina Povalyaeva. In the second half of the match, "Luch" was looking much brighter and more stable than before the break. Several times they managed to reduce the goal difference on 5 goals, but they couldn’t get closer than this.
