Junior national team of Russia (girls born 1994 and younger), with four togliattian representatives (Alena Ikhneva, Elizaveta Malashenko, Nelli Pankovichenko and Anastasia Khrapova), is going to Denmark for the U19 European Championship.

On the eve right before the Euro among 19-year-old girls the coaching staff led by Vyacheslav Kirilenko has introduced three players from the junior team (girls born in 1996 and younger) in the squad. These players are Julia Golikova from Volgograd, Karina Sisenova from Astrakhan and togliattian Malashenko . As a result of this, Julia Golubeva, the player of "Lada-2" lost her place in the national team, but even without her togliattian team has enough representatives. In addition to the four existing players from Togliatti, Ksenia Karpachyova and Karina Pavlova, have agreed at the end of the European Championship to came back from Volgograd in Togliatti, as well as Evelina Anoshkina and Kira Trusova (both - Astrakhan), Daria Dmitrieva, Evgenia Petrova Ekaterina Chernova (all - Volgograd), began their first steps in this sport at the sport center "Olymp".

From eighteen players that are heading to Sonderborg on Youth Championship 2013, eleven (!) have Togliattian roots. The Russian national team, is current European champion and vice-champion of the world, expects to win the highest place in Denmark. In the group phase Russia on 1th, 2nd and 4th August in turn will meet with the national teams of Germany (19.30 MSK time), Austria (20.00 MSK time) and France (20.00 MSK time). In the main round on 6th and 7th of August the best two teams from "our" group "B" will play in the same city Sonderborg with the two best teams from Group "A", in which play Norway, Romania, Slovakia and Portugal. In the other two groups are the following teams: "C" - Denmark, Netherlands, Croatia and Czech Republic; «D» - Hungary, Sweden, Spain and Slovenia. Semi-finals are going to be played on August 9 and final on the 11th August and they will be held in Kolding.
